I embrace certain aspects of Socialism, not the whole Joe Stalin clusterfuck.

I believe that a society does better, and is more profitable for everyone with less weak links in the chain.

I believe that everyone involved in creating new wealth should get a piece of it, not just those at the top of the food chain.

I believe that everyone should have access to higher education and health care without going bankrupt or being forced into perpetual debt, because a healthy, well educated citizenry is more productive, and leads to greater prosperity across the board.

I believe that legislation should be written by representatives of the people, not corporate and special interest lobbyists.

I believe that the things people need to survive (housing, food and energy) should not be subject to market speculation, driving prices up for consumers to profit bankers and hedge fund managers.

I believe that's all I can think of right off the top of my head.

Says the guy who thinks Trump leans too far Left.

We know you're all in for an authoritarian dictatorship in the USA, so you probably shouldn't be talking about me wanting to be like Venezuela.

If I were all in for Authoritarian dictatorship I would be in favor of mask laws. Instead I am in favor of freedom. Small/no government and low/no taxes. I want a govern that governs but stops there. It's my responsibility from there. Many here want government to be their daddy.

Erik, you have actually stated on your now defunct text group, that you're all in for authoritarianism.

"A government that governs, but stops there"?

WTF does that even mean?

I do believe that our current system has too many avenues for bottlenecks. Regardless of who ends up president we will see nothing but cock blocking. I don't know how anyone from any side of whatever argument can get anything done under these current circumstances. Government has gotten too big. I do have a belief that smaller governments with a ruling person or party accomplish more. If that is authoritarian than so be it.

A government that governs and that's it is a pretty simple definition. All I want them to do is protect our nation from enemies foreign and domestic (this sadly includes you). They don't need to pass helmet laws, seat belt laws, provide healthcare, provide education, etc. That is the responsibility of the citizens.

So, anarchy with an army.

Sounds like a great idea.

A new system is needed. Today I don't get represented in government. Only those looking ofr handouts and living in cities are represented by government.
